- ➤ All Souls Congregational Church hosts its annual bazaar today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Broadway in Bangor—offering homemade food and holiday decor while proceeds benefit the church. WABI 5
- ➤ News Center Maine is hosting the 43rd Coats & Toys for Kids drive on Dec. 4 at nine locations statewide — the event will collect new or gently used coats, new unwrapped toys, and money donations to help families stay warm this winter. Donations will be given to The Salvation Army, and those unable to visit a site can contribute online. News Center Maine
- ➤ The annual 'Free the Z' Turkey Drive will kick off Tuesday morning in Brewer at the Hannaford parking lot where monetary and turkey donations will be accepted to help 5,500 families have a Thanksgiving meal — WABI will host its Turkey Telethon on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. as part of the drive. - ➤ Cowboy Jim DeBerry and THAT ANIMAL GAL Amy DeBerry brought a sloth, baby kangaroo, and micro pigs to WABI ahead of the Queen City Expo at the Cross Insurance Center this weekend—animals arriving from Wildlife Adventure Center and Wild in America. WABI 5

- ➤ Woodland Pulp in Baileyville will pause operations later this month until December 17 because low demand, falling prices, and a 10% tariff on Canadian softwood lumber have made it hard to run the mill. The shutdown will lay off about 150 workers and may affect local shops — town leaders are working to help affected employees keep their benefits. News Center Maine

- ➤ Maine Supreme Court justices heard arguments from Emily Bickford, who said a December 2024 custody order stops her from taking her 12-year-old daughter to Calvary Chapel — her attorneys argue it violates her First Amendment rights by giving full decision-making power to the father. - ➤ Maine Maritime Academy will visit Husson University at the Dr. John Winkin Sports Complex today at 1 p.m.—a long-awaited game in which the two revived football programs meet for the first time in nearly 80 years. - ➤ Today the Maine Black Bears will try to win their seventh consecutive game against Rhode Island at Alfond Stadium with kickoff at 1:00 p.m.—Coach Jordan Stevens said the team is eager to keep their streak alive as they honor Senior Day. WABI 5
- ➤ Portland defeated the Bangor Rams 30–22 in a hard-fought high school football game at Fitzpatrick Stadium on November 15th. The contest saw both teams trading scoring drives—especially when senior quarterback Cordell Jones ran for a decisive touchdown—to secure the win. Bangor Daily News
- ➤ Today, two high school playoff games are underway in the greater Bangor area — John Bapst, which is unbeaten, will play Winslow at 1 p.m. at Cameron Stadium, and Hermon will face Leavitt at 5 p.m. in Lewiston. The winners will move on to state championship games next weekend. Bangor Daily News
