- ➤ Tests showed PFAS levels at Hawk Ridge Compost Facility contaminated wetlands more than two miles away—speeding its shutdown decision. Casella Waste Management said it will continue processing current compost while the DEP reviews a closure plan with cleanup expected to finish in 2026. Bangor Daily News

- ➤ Northern Light Health is urging women over 40 to get yearly screening mammograms during Breast Cancer Awareness Month—mammograms can spot cancer up to three years before symptoms.
