- ➤ The seaplane crashed on Moosehead Lake near Beaver Cove at 9 a.m. Saturday — a boater rescued its sole pilot who was taken to a hospital with facial trauma and minor injuries — with Maine Wardens Service and Greenville Fire Department responding to the scene. Bangor Daily News

- ➤ Federal agents searched four rural properties in Dexter, Norridgewock, Ripley and Stetson this spring—filing a warrant on March 17—to gather evidence of alleged illegal marijuana grows, seizing a memory card and taking photos as investigators probed links to mortgage fraud and organized crime.
