- ➤ The Bangor Elks Lodge received a grant from the Elks National Foundation to support its community investment program. - ➤ The WABI morning show joined Jurassic Quest at the Cross Insurance Center on Friday to preview a weekend event featuring towering dinosaurs and a LEGO play zone for families—kids saw a dinosaur trainer explaining how visitors can get up close with prehistoric stars. - ➤ The Toddy Pond Association is holding information sessions next week in Surry, Blue Hill, Orland, and Penobscot to explain a vote on November 4 that would form a team to manage the dam on Toddy Pond. Board members say they want to protect water levels, local business, and the ecosystem—removal could cause harm. FOX Bangor
- ➤ Bangor is scaling back its bus service because of a driver shortage. The city will reduce the Capehart 1 route to one bus every hour — and combine Center Street and Hammond Street routes with set departure times, while updating its mobile app to show these changes. Bangor Daily News
- ➤ Bangor is eliminating a lane on 14th Street between Valley Avenue and Ohio Street for a new paved pedestrian path linking the Kenduskeag Stream Trail to Ohio Street—traffic will be managed with signs and cones during construction coordinated with the Maine Department of Transportation.
