A 63-year-old motorcyclist died after hitting a deer on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. on Route 7 in Dexter; she was flown by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where she was in critical condition before she died.

Modivcare, a healthcare transportation company that signed a 10-year, $750 million contract to provide non-emergency rides statewide, filed for bankruptcy to reduce its $1.1 billion debt while its deal remains tied up in court.
