Peter Williams, 66, of Searsmont died in a head-on crash with a tractor trailer on Route 69 in Newburgh on Wednesday afternoon—video showed he crossed into the truck’s path and his dog died at the scene while the truck struck a garage—and the driver was assessed for injuries without being taken to the hospital.

On Friday, a single-engine plane crashed outside Bangor International Airport’s fence—killing one person and marking the airport’s first fatal crash—with the runway closed until it reopened before 4:30 p.m.
