- ➤ The owners of Northern Bay Organics in Penobscot closed the farm until legal issues are resolved after Jason Langley faced an alleged assault charge at Acadia National Park — federal officers served an arrest warrant at their home while the farmers, who deny the charges and say his autism played a role, work through the fallout. - ➤ The University of Maine System approved a pilot for a 90 credit bachelor’s degree for adult learners on three campuses today—this program is for those who have been out of college for at least two years and aims to boost economic mobility and meet workforce needs. - ➤ A new state law called 'An Act to Promote Firewood Banks in Maine' requires the state's Bureau of Forestry to provide resources for starting wood banks so Mainers can get free firewood in winter.
