- ➤ Governor Mills is traveling to Canada today to strengthen economic ties after cross-border travel dropped due to federal tariff uncertainty + she will meet with Saint John business leaders before meeting New Brunswick and Nova Scotia officials on Tuesday and Wednesday and returning to Maine on Thursday. - ➤ Bangor firefighters will build a new $703,000 live training facility using cargo shipping containers—allowing it to be reconfigured for active fire training—by May 2026. The department received a $679,000 grant and added $24,000 to serve over 100 departments statewide. Bangor Daily News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The closure of HEAL in Bangor in March ended long-standing health services, leaving parts of eastern Maine without state-certified syringe programs.
