ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The sheriff’s office said first responders reached South Patten Road at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday when a GMC truck made a U-turn from a scenic turnout and collided with an oncoming Dodge truck—killing the 82-year-old GMC driver, injuring a child, and sending two adults plus three children from the Dodge to a nearby hospital while investigators continue to piece together the crash. - ➤ Saint Dominic Academy’s baseball team won its fourth consecutive Class D state championship and eighth overall title on Saturday at the University of Maine’s Mahaney Diamond by defeating Bangor Christian 14-6—after the school closed permanently due to financial concerns from the Diocese of Portland.
