- ➤ Bangor High School graduated 237 students at Sunday's commencement ceremony at Cross Insurance Center — senior Jacob Biberstein delivered a speech highlighting the students' hard work. - ➤ On June 10, Maine signed a law that sets farmworkers' pay at $14.65 an hour with cost-of-living adjustments starting January 1—this new rate replaces the $7.25 federal minimum wage and aims to fix a gap in labor protections. The Piscataquis Observer
