- ➤ The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office is searching for 15-year-old Anthony Buck from Etna who was reported missing on June 3 and may be in the Carmel area, and anyone with information is urged to call 947-4585. WABI 5
- ➤ A teen, Anthony Buck, 15, has been missing since Wednesday from Etna and may be in the Carmel area according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office—officials urge anyone with information to call at 207-947-4585. Bangor Daily News

- ➤ Downtown Bangor’s umbrella art installation, Umbrella Sky, unfurled Friday evening on Cross Street between Main and Columbia as a launch party ran from 5 to 7 p.m. organized by Downtown Bangor Partnership — sponsored by Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Bangor Daily News

- ➤ American Cruise Lines’ ship American Independence will moor at the Bangor Waterfront docks on Sunday at 1 p.m. Additional cruise ships are scheduled to visit Bangor in coming months — four in June, six in July, seven in August and five in September. WABI 5
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Baxter State Park Authority said most trails on Katahdin opened for hikers Friday, including Abol, Cathedral, Dudley, Hamlin Ridge, Helon Taylor, and Hunt—while Saddle Slide Trail remains closed and trails on Traveler Mountain and Tote Road are fully open. The park advises hikers to pack proper safety gear after a recent tragedy that claimed the lives of Tim and Esther Keiderling. Bangor Daily News
