- ➤ Maine Whoopie Pie Festival organizers in Dover-Foxcroft unveiled a revised traffic plan for June 13 to ensure safe parking and pedestrian flow after last year's congestion. - ➤ Auto mechanic Hayden Maxfield of Maxfield Mobile Mechanic brings repairs to customers from Augusta to Presque Isle by making house calls for everything from oil changes to brake and transmission fixes. - ➤ Fourth and fifth grade students from Fairmount School will move next year to a wing at Bangor High after asbestos was found in their building. Fairmount's school committee approved the move after a month of debate, and repairs are estimated to cost $5.6 million and may take 18 months. Bangor Daily News
- ➤ Longtime Bangor educator Dan Chadbourne will begin as Brewer School Department superintendent on July 1, replacing Gregg Palmer, who retires on June 30. Chadbourne has been working part-time in the role since January to ensure a smooth handoff. Bangor Daily News
