- ➤ On Saturday, the Eastern Maine Snowmobile Club dedicated a barn called 'Larry’s Dream' in Holden to honor late club member Larry Lafland who served as trail master and club president. Family and club members shared stories of his work in local and state snowmobiling — a fitting tribute to his legacy. WABI 5
- ➤ A local club in Dover Foxcroft celebrated over 90 years of friendship and community giving as it disbanded and closed its savings account by donating $336.29 to the Piscataquis Regional Food Center—its longtime support included contributions to local causes. The Pine Needle Christmas Club began in the 1930s as the J. B. F. or Just Busy Folks Club by local women in the Bear Hill District and was renamed in the early 1950s. The Piscataquis Observer
- ➤ Supporters held a memorial walk on the Bangor and Brewer Waterfronts to honor Elliana Campbell, a Brewer baby who died at 10 months from Epidermolysis Bullosa. - ➤ A new report shows Maine has the most land trusts per capita with 84 groups that have conserved nearly three million acres—almost 15 percent of the state’s land base—protecting public access and natural resource industries.
