A ceremony honoring Maine game warden Josh Tibbetts, who died in a plane crash on May 12 in Avon, was held yesterday at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor as uniformed law enforcement arrived at 10 a.m. and the service started at 1 p.m.

Today, volunteers and museum workers placed 3,168 flags (their third year) at the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor to honor Maine service members killed in the Korean, Vietnam, and World wars, featuring a picnic, Color Guard and jazz show.

The flag display remains through Memorial Day.
