- ➤ Maine State Police investigated a serious single-vehicle crash on I-395 at mile marker 1 around 8:45 p.m. Friday night in Bangor in which 23-year-old Devon Ireland lost control of his 1992 Mazda Miata and went over the guardrail while his passenger 23-year-old Lauren Mccann, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and sustained life-threatening injuries, with both taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center and speed and alcohol believed to be factors. - ➤ State officials are using more than $25 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds to upgrade hatcheries in New Gloucester, Grand Lake Stream and Embden so Maine lakes and ponds receive more fish for recreational fishing.
