  • A celebration of life for Maine Game Warden Pilot Joshua Tibbetts is scheduled for Thursday, May 21 at 1 p.m. at the Cross Insurance Center Arena in Bangor, and wildlife officials will share more details next week.  News Center Maine
  • A local organization hosted an event at Milford place to celebrate its new affordable senior housing development that will have 40 single-bedroom apartments — 8 for a shelter — and open in April 2027.  FOX Bangor

  • Salt North Tap Room closed Friday morning at 16 Union St.—the space will become MJ’s Catering and Event Center hosting public concerts and private catering functions in the building formerly used by Carolina’s Sports and Spirits.  Bangor Daily News

  • Maine residents, including Belfast drivers, are changing habits amid high gas prices; some drive out of town to pay less and combine errands while lower-income households feel the pinch (prices now hover around $4.50 a gallon), forcing tough daily choices.   • Under a new rule, the MPA now permits high school postseason sports to be held on Sundays, offering flexibility when weather or facility issues delay games.
