- ➤ The Bangor Housing Development Corporation, with Preble Street and the Bangor Housing Authority, received funding from the Maine State Housing Authority to build a new 30-unit housing project for people who are chronically homeless. The team will select a downtown site this summer, start construction early next year, and welcome tenants by early 2027—staff will be on duty 24/7 to help residents with services and support. - ➤ A single-vehicle crash on the main road in Eddington at 2 p.m. sent the driver to a local hospital while one horse died and another was put down—traffic was reduced to one lane during the investigation. FOX Bangor

- ➤ State representatives met at the state house to support a bill sponsored by Rep. Annie Graham that would raise funding for Good Shepherd’s Mainers feeding Mainers program (from $1M to $2M) amid federal cuts.
