- ➤ UMaine held its commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 9 at Harold Alfond Sports Arena in Orono as 2,000 graduates received diplomas. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The state expanded the emerald ash borer quarantine in late April for 16 municipalities — including Bangor — requiring quarantined ash tree material to remain onsite except for ash chips. Bangor officials have developed a response plan to manage local tree impacts from the invasive pest. Bangor Daily News
