- ➤ Seventy-seven veterans and 77 guardians took part in Honor Flight Maine’s first 2025 trip, departing Friday from Bangor International Airport for Baltimore—marking the program’s first departure from Bangor. - ➤ Needlepoint Sanctuary launched a low threshold employment program to help local residents facing addiction or homelessness secure housing by offering per-diem work that connects them to essential services. - ➤ Hertz confirmed a cyberattack on its vendor Cleo from October to December exposed customer data including names, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers and Social Security numbers for thousands, with 3,457 Maine customers affected—affected customers have been alerted and companies are strengthening cybersecurity measures. - ➤ A federal judge awarded a Buxton woman $1.3M in a medical malpractice wrongful death lawsuit after her husband, a 69-year-old Army veteran, died three weeks after being admitted to Togus VA due to negligence that involved high pain medication & sedative use. Bangor Daily News

- ➤ In March, Maine home sales fell by 6.2 percent and median prices dropped to $376,260 (down 1 percent from March 2024) as buyers closed 848 deals compared to 904 a year earlier.
