  • U.S. Army Pvt. Willard D. Merrill, 21, from Dover-Foxcroft who endured the Bataan Death March and died in a Japanese prison camp in the Philippines will be laid to rest in Dover-Foxcroft in June after scientists confirmed his identity using dental, anthropological, and DNA tests—his remains were moved from the Manila American Cemetery.  The Piscataquis Observer
