- ➤ Fire departments in Biddeford and Saco teamed with the American Red Cross of Northern New England to give free smoke alarms and fire safety lessons to Maine homeowners—since 2014, the program has installed over 10,000 alarms. - ➤ Moosehead biologist Tim Obrey explained that the state sets bag limits by counting anglers and measuring catch rates to keep fish numbers healthy.
