  • Sunny Crest Maple Farm saw a large crowd on Maine Maple Sunday as visitors learned how to make maple syrup and enjoyed treats made with the farm’s product. Owner Paul Cushman—who has been making syrup for 30 years—said every visit offered new insights into the process.  WABI 5

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Rep. Ambureen Rana from Bangor introduced a bill to study safe disposal of single-use propane canisters that are hard to recycle and often end up in the trash—lawmakers will hear testimony today and the DEP must provide recommendations by Dec. 3. The study may lead to a trade-in program or a possible ban to lessen safety risks.  The Piscataquis Observer
