- ➤ 20 community members gathered Saturday, March 14 at the Library's Crofutt Community room to paint 325 squares for a 6'x11' American flag mural. The flag will be exhibited at the Cyr Gallery in June and July and in Bangor in September when a Declaration of Independence copy is displayed. FOX Bangor

- ➤ Alice Daley Noyes's book explores the legacy of Metallak, known as the Lone Indian of the Magalloway, whose reputed 120-year life shaped Maine's fishing lore. Local fly tyer Steve Parisi designed the Metallak streamer (inspired by historic fishing traditions) to honor this enduring heritage. Bangor Daily News
