- ➤ A federal trial began Tuesday in Bangor as Pines Church claimed Hermon High School denied its request for a yearlong lease to hold Sunday worship, potentially violating religious rights; Pastor Matt Gioia and committee members testified + further testimony is scheduled for Wednesday. - ➤ Mary Shea, 71, of Milbridge testified in an Ellsworth trial that her 2019 right hip replacement resulted in lasting impairments and nearly $300K in bills. An expert witness described her recovery as positive until complications from a failed second surgery — the trial continues. Bangor Daily News
