- ➤ Gov. Janet Mills introduced a revised proposal to make the free community college scholarship permanent for Maine students — the program originally helped pandemic graduates; a public hearing in Augusta is scheduled for Friday and lawmakers will decide by April 15. WABI 5

- ➤ Brigadier General Diane Dunn was promoted to major general at Camp Chamberlain in Augusta on Tuesday with more than 100 family members, friends, and colleagues in attendance—she became the first woman to serve as both Adjutant General and commissioner of the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management. - ➤ Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is hosting the free Youth Mental Health Summit on Tuesday, March 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Husson University’s Gracie Theatre, and registration is required by March 2 for youth, families & educators to access tools for mental well-being.
