  • Seasons in Bangor expects business to double on Sunday as the Patriots play in Super Bowl 60. The bar will offer eight wings for $8 + a Patriots Punch drink and run football squares giveaways to celebrate the big game.  WABI 5

  • Officials urge homeowners to take simple steps this winter to keep homes safe by letting faucets drip and insulating pipes, plus utility crews warn that frozen pipes can lead to costly flooding if they burst.  News Center Maine
  • Maine health officials confirmed a measles case in an adult who traveled from an area with outbreaks and was infectious Jan. 28–Feb. 5 — possible exposure occurred at Bangor’s hospital on Feb. 3 and an Etna barn Jan. 28–29; residents are urged to check for symptoms.  News Center Maine

  • Caribou’s state champion boys basketball team in the new Class C shows promise after a 15—3 record, even without Tristan Robbins, as senior guard Owen Corrigan steps up. Teams from Mattanawcook, Dover-Foxcroft, Fort Kent and Orono remain in contention for the regional title.  Bangor Daily News
  • Hampden Academy coach Russ Bartlett earned his 343rd win at his final home game before retiring after 23 years, with his 9-9 Broncos now holding a No. 7 seed. The team will face Edward Little on Feb. 14 at Augusta Civic Center.  Bangor Daily News

  • Friday night's game at Agganis Arena ended with a 3-2 overtime win for Boston University — UMaine suffered its eighth consecutive overtime loss at BU after failing its power play.  Bangor Daily News
  • The winner of the Can-Am 250 race will receive the new Preacher Medal, honoring a K-9 officer who died a year ago along the Portage route. The champion will choose a dog to carry the medal when the race begins later this month — a tribute to loyalty.  WABI 5
