- ➤ Friends of the Mountain are raising $5.95 million to purchase Big Moose Mountain as a nonprofit ski area; the group has raised over $2.6 million, installed cedar siding on a shelter, and secured a 12-person snowcat through local donations — boosting upgrades for trails and lifts. - ➤ During last Friday's 2-0 win at UMass Lowell, UMaine hockey saw Brock James from Falmouth become only the second Maine native to score in 11 years.
