Friends of the Mountain are raising $5.95 million to purchase Big Moose Mountain as a nonprofit ski area; the group has raised over $2.6 million, installed cedar siding on a shelter, and secured a 12-person snowcat through local donations — boosting upgrades for trails and lifts.

Local celebrities raced in the Celebrity Egg Ride (each $50 donation equals one egg) as part of the 53rd annual Dysart’s Snowmobile Ride-In Weekend to raise funds for Pine Tree Camp in Rome.
