  • United Airlines will offer seasonal nonstop flights from Bangor to Denver on Saturdays from June to September, making it the farthest domestic nonstop route from Bangor International Airport (announcement made Friday morning).  Bangor Daily News

  • Ten Bucks Theatre Company will perform a fast-paced adaptation of Pride and Prejudice at Cyrus Pavilion Theatre (6 Sebago Road on the U of Maine campus in Orono) Feb. 12–22, with Thursday-Saturday 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 p.m. shows and a free dessert offer at Woodman’s with ticket purchase.  FOX Bangor

  • Jon Small read to third graders at Vine Street School while Chief Photographer Mark Rediker documented the event — celebrating literacy and community support in Bangor. The school gathered members to bolster students' love for reading.  WABI 5

  • A Boeing 747-8 that will be used for Air Force One training landed at Bangor International Airport Friday afternoon. The plane took off from Frankfurt at 9:30 a.m. and left just before 3 for its flight to Waco.  WABI 5

  • Nurses at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center are fighting for a new contract to address unsafe work conditions, low staff-to-patient ratios, and limited access to health insurance, and community members showed support by marching outside the hospital on Friday.  FOX Bangor

  • Husson University’s Saige Evans earned Player of the Week honors after a four-game stretch averaging 19.75 points and 10.5 rebounds — she is set to lead the Eagles in a conference game hosting Lesley University at 3 p.m. today.  Bangor Daily News
