About this event
Wizards and Warp Drives is a book club for lovers of the Science Fantasy and Fantasy genres. We meet the second Wednesday evening of the month to discuss a rotating selection of Sci-Fi and Fantasy titles. BPL staff member, Amanda, will lead the group each month.
Reading Line-Up:
July 8th, The Memory Librarian - Janelle Monáe
August 12th, The City and Its Uncertain Walls - Haruki Murakami
September 9th, The Tiger Flu - Larissa Lai
October 14th, Strange Animals - Jarod Anderson
November 18th (changed due to Veteran's Day), The Forest On The Edge of Time - Jasmin Kirkbride
December 9th, Spear - Nicola Grifith
If you need assistance reserving a title, please reach out to the Reference department, 922-6071 or reference@bangorpubliclibrary.org and a librarian will request the title for you.
About the Facilitator: Amanda loves to read more than just about anything else. She reads mainly sci-fi and fantasy, but really loves anything that makes you think about being a person (even if you're actually an orc or on a planet a billion lightyears away).
